Why does society want us all the same?

Because if someone is different that means they are a standout, people can follow standouts. Every hero ever was a standout.

 

It is easier to control the masses by keeping them all the same....;-)

If everybody you met had that mentality that would be a problem.
But I think most people don't actually care.
Advertising agencies might want you to conform to their ideals because they want you(us) to buy their particular products.
Thank god their is competition.
If you look around you there are certain stereotypes, but it is false, imho, people in general or the state or whomever wants you(us) to look the same.
Heck, would you be pissed off if people said the opposite or didn't say anything at all?

society and gov't do not want to deal with difference. Gov't programs, school , everything assumes we are all the same. To much work otherwise.

 

The best thing you can do is not worry. I don't care what "society" expects. You get what you get.

 

But that doesn't stop you from getting what you want.

Just do not expect someone to hand it to you.

Whomever controls the money controls the rest of it. If you start acting differantly,the zombies will think there's a chance you might opt out of the capitalist -zombie tread mill that most of us have been on for life. Zombies pick up on a differance like individuality ,because it looks too much like--shudder--freedom. Makes 'em nervous.

 

Or they think you might be having some kind of fun that they don't know about and in which they are not and can never be included. Pisses people off.
