Ummmmm.... Madoffs returns were MUCH higher then that of the common investor. Madoff invited people into his ponzi, you didnt just 'join' it. Thats why member(s) of the SEC (shortly after fired) launched an inquiries about his system as far back as 2003. SEC being currupt, did not inquire.. Until the scheme was incapable of living on.
