Why I don't believe in astrology:

I never really took astrology seriously but have noticed a lot of weird coincidences with it in my life like all 3 of my sisters, my mother, father, and my grandma are Aries. I am the only Gemini and I am the mellow one of the bunch. All the Aries have fiery personalities and are forces to be reckoned with.

So I am not totally skeptical. I just don't care if it is valid or not. Astrology charts still fun to read.

 

Religion, if your truly believe, can help you find love, for yourself and others. Psychology/counseling is a way for people to dig deep inside and replay what may have happened to you in the past. But Astrology, specifically the Signs of the Zodiac, can help you understand the differences that are evident in each of us. Its true we are more than our Sun Signs, in fact we are a Mix of traits that we get from the Signs we have in our Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars, moon and our Ascendent and if we look at the Elements of the Signs we have in these 6 "Personal" areas we can learn to understand how parts of our Being may be Sensitive and also parts that don't seem to be affected by others. The Fire (Ari, Leo, & Sag) and the Air Signs (Gem, Lib, Aqu) have Active energies and behaviors while the Earth Signs (Tau, Vir, & Cap) and Water Signs (Can, Sco, & Pis) are more Reactive. Active energy is more forceful, Extroverted, needing to be on the move while the Signs with the Reactive energies are More Introverted and affected by the environs around them, they are sensory based. Knowing that you are made up of these energies can help you through many of life's difficult times.

To learn anything you have to take time to understand the language. Fate destiny or whatever, we all live our lives based on how we interact with our environment.

Richard - I don't know where you got the idea that the heavens run your life but its not the case. Astrology should be about learning what potentials you have and by knowing your Signs you can understand where your abilities and skills come from. We are not a blank slate when we are born but we do look at the world through innocent eyes and the directions we will grow in this life are based on the abilities we have through those 6 Personal Signs.

I am between the signs of Taurus and Gemini. I use to know some of the basics of astrology. I have forgotten a lot over the years because I did not continue with studying it. My Uncle does charts. I have found the two charts that people have written for me have been accurate. I just shy away from organized belief systems. I guess it comes from being raised around several atheists. I am an agnostic.
