Fuck that man, it's called "not giving a shit". At least it is for me.. If I find conversations aren't going anywhere I give up because I've realised it's a shit conversation. I don't make myself feel pressured to keep it going if I'm not enjoying it. I *almost* guarantee if you get into a conversation with a stranger about something you love the "anxiety" will fade. If you wanna label yourself you'd be an "introvert". Doesn't have to mean you're shy, it can also mean you just like to spend more time thinking than talking, unless something interesting pops up in conversation.. then the problem becomes shutting you up As for the appearance thing, as many others have said, relax! Fuck everyone else, it's your life so don't try and live theirs - wear whatever you want and do anything else that you enjoy. Unless its slaughtering innocents
I'm not 100% sure health is that fine either, though. What does type 1 diabetes feel like? Diabetes run in my family, and i've thought i've had it for a while now, but i never really bothered to get checked out. I always feel really weak and shakey, even if i do eat something. I also get very dizzy and light headed and that "collapsing" feeling a lot too. I'm not out of shape, but if i exercise a bit, without eating something right before i do, i will get extremely shakey and weak aswell. Does this happen with diabetes? It could be something else, i've had it for a long time, just never got it checked out.
Haha, yeah thats true. Most of the time i really do don't give a fuck about the conversation, people try talking to me but i feel as if i have nothing to say to them so i don't contribute to the conversation as much as i should. But i'm sure the anxiety doesn't help either. But yes, i'm definitatly an introvert, i prefer being on my own than with people.
You mainly sound 17. When I was 17 I could have written a list that long with all my insecurities too. I haven't changed much since then, yet I don't ever feel insecure about my looks anymore. This will pass. I think your biggest problem is you're bragging about wearing your hair in a fohawk.
It doesn't really sound like the symptoms of diabetes actually. I do feel the things you described sometimes, that is only if I've taken too much insulin at the time. You're describing low blood sugar. Diabetics have the opposite, high blood sugar. You might be hypoglycemic. I think the remedy for that is just to eat things high in sugar when you feel the symptoms. Go see a doctor if it's concerning you and making you feel sick.
First you say your handsome etc , then you say and you say this I just think you have self esteem/self image issues . That's all
Bingo! I'm hypoglycemic, and I get these symptoms. Just one issue about your advice, which I happen to know from experience (addressing this to the op): Don't eat things high in sugar, period. That will temporarily relieve the symptoms, but then they'll come back even worse. The problem is a hair-trigger insulin response, in most cases - a little sudden sugar surge in the blood makes the insulin level shoot up, which makes the body cells suck all the sugar out of the blood, leaving you with low blood sugar. The way to deal with this is to eat proteins, fats, and complex carbohydrates - whole grains - as opposed to simple carbohydrates like bleached flour white bread, white rice, and potatoes, which pretty much turn to sugar in your saliva shortly after you eat them. The complex foods are reduced to sugar more gradually by your body, so it doesn't shock your pancreas into sudden insulin secretion. Also btw, speaking from my own experience: If you can manage the hypoglycemia, it could very well help reduce your social anxiety. Brain cells and hormones don't function well in a chronic low-sugar environment.
This actually makes sense, because whenever i have a loot of sugar, i almost feel like fainting a while afterwards, i used to always drink Energy drinks and massive 1L Slurpees and stuff, which is like pure sugar... and if i eat a lot of candy or sugary foods, i feel extremely dizzy, weak, shaky, and tired in general Is hypoglycemic anything serious? If i lay off eating "bad sugars" as much?
I know i complain about my genetics a lot, but i do have a lot of illnesses in my genetics, such as... my grandpa, grandma, great grandma, great grandpa, etc... all died from Cancer, and many other relatives such as uncles and aunts... So cancer runs in my family a lot, same with diabetes, but other than that, that is all
Does that mean you definitely will get those things? I don't think so and you don't seem to have any of it now..so go live your life. I also think the mind is a powerful thing and if you're set on the idea that all of your family has those illnesses and you're preparing yourself to have them also then I think they're more likely to happen...The mind is powerful. Usually the diabetes that runs in families is type 2 diabetes, which is very preventable. Poor health and diet cause type 2. You just have to exercise and make sure you eat healthy. I have type 1 diabetes which occured pretty much from freak incidents and genes...it's really not known what causes type 1 diabetes and I'm the only one in my family with it. Maybe you're just a hypochondriac =p
That's exactly what used to happen to me. Managing your sugar intake requires a lot of awareness and practice when you're first starting out. Eventually you get so you can feel your approximate blood sugar condition, and head off symptoms before they even start by snacking on something - peanuts are excellent, also whole-wheat crackers. If you do this diligently - or even if you slip up once in a while - you'll be just fine. You'll feel better more consistently. Caffeine tends to exacerbate hypoglycemia, btw - however I'm a big coffee drinker, yet I still manage to balance my blood sugar level with decent diet and snacks when needed - you just need to learn to manage, by trial and error and awareness.
Ah i see, thats good to know! Lately i realized really sugary junk food type things have been making me feel weak and tired, so i've stopped eating them lately. But now i know why at least! And yes same with caffeine! Coffee has like the opposite effect for me, instead of making me energetic and awake, it makes me feel really weak and dizzy, it makes me want to fall asleep. Can hypoglycemia lead to diabetes if you don't treat it well? Seeing as how the blood sugar is all messed up and stuff?
There are some who think it can - by overtaxing the insulin-producing cells, maybe - but I don't think there are any medical studies showing this. Anyway I've been managing my hypoglycemia for almost 40 years now, and have no signs at all of diabetes - for whatever that info is worth.
Here, Bumble, I found a decent online reference that has lots of info on hypoglycemia. It claims there IS a connection between hypoglycemia and diabetes. It's probably good to know that lots of physicians are anywhere from ridiculing to hostile regarding hypoglycemia - especially if it's self-diagnosed, like mine. http://www.authorviews.com/authors/bennett/obd.htm
Honey , you are looking at all of the bad , PLEASE , you need to look at the good in you. God doesnt make mistakes , and YOU are a good , sensitive , caring person. If you werent , you wouldnt give a hang about yourself. You need to love yourself , and know that you are just as good as anybody else here on earth.
Even though I myself hate going to doctors, maybe you should go get a blood test and physical done so you can put your mind at ease. Also I think you should post a photo of yourself. Ha, I'm curious to see what you look like.
So what you’re a little awkward looking; no one is perfect. I was 6’2” and only 159 lbs for the longest time before I finally began to put on weight at the age of 23 and topped off at 175 lbs where I’ve remained since. Hotwater
