Why women use "girl" identifiers in their usernames?

I don't think he can change his pic to one with a suit because he can find one on the guy on the net anywhere

 

They're not the same to me. If a man thinks of himself as a good fighter, he may use "Thor" which is a character name based on a trait. If it were a woman however, she may use "boxergirl" which is descriptive.

 

It's petty, and distasteful. There's probably some subliminal effort to make themselves look unvain and intellectual, by insulting a guy that "relies" on his looks. Ironically, he is probably intellectual too, and rightly gorgeous.

Now, sig pics may not be the end-all/be-all of that judgment.
When babyjay says she has the self-esteem to pull off some bodily pride, I believe her because her actual words reflect that. She didn't feel the need to get back-up-against-the-wall defensive, like X did. Her general posting is fun and light-hearted. That says more than her pic - obviously because she is more than her pic.

People's impressions don't stop at a sig pic, but if you put it out there, it's one more thing people will judge you by. Rightly or wrongly

Faelixx: I don't think anybody is hating on his lean body. We're reacting to his words, which suggest that there is some deep psychological reason that some women use the word 'girl' in their screen names, but then adamantly refusing to admit that his 'selfie' is anything but just a picture.

 

That's it, simply.

No matter how many times he said I attacked his pic, I never did. I think he has a beautiful body every time I see the pic.

I just wanted to join the chorus pointing out to him that he put up a gender-identifier also and that if he's going to start probing psyches about those things, then he has to probe his own too.

Not at all. I'm not saying there's no psychology behind why I put myself in my sig pic. The fact of the matter is that it has nothing to do with the topic. The question was a simple open question about FEMALE identifiers. But it seems like people here take issue with the idea of investigating the female psyche, so they immediately try to find a way to attack and bring a male counterpart into the equation to even the game.

The reality is that this was never about trying to attack women or anything of the sort. I was just curious to ask the question and start a discussion when I was bored. It's you guys who keep trying to make more of this than what it is.

If you have an issue with this thread, or feel offended by what I or other people have said in it, or just can't stand to look at my sig pic anymore because it disgust you, then stay the fuck out of here. Yeah... I just told people to stay the fuck out of my thread if they can't handle it. So let's see how many of you blow a fuse over that now

 

And I have no problem doing that, in a different thread. This thread is just about female identifiers. Nothing more, nothing less.

And you say you didn't attack my sig, but that's not how your posts came across to me. As I said before, I've extended the olive branch your way in a hope to move past this. If you think we still haven't settled this then let's take it to PM. I don't see any reason for you to continue on with the "chorus" in this matter (be it positively or not).
