Can't vote on it cuz I just dunno. I visited Europe when I was in my late teens. In Holland, not only weed is legal, but, hash and certain other substances too. There was a place there called " shit park ". It's where everybody got their shit and got rid of their shit. Pretty wild, ha?
I believe that marijuana possibly won't ever be legal in the united States, but perhaps the punishment will become less severe. There are many organisations today such as Norml that have already fought and won many battles to decriminalise marijuana. I think that there's a good chance and I've decided to join Norml myself. I don't know if it will ever be legal, but I do trust that it will get more lenient.
It took years for the government to realize what an asinine idea they had in prohibition, and it was eventually repealed. Drinking didn't really decrease, and making it illegal spawned organized crime and violence. I think drugs, or at least pot, will be "decriminalized" in the not so distant future. Surely we won't stay stupid forever.
well, based on the retardation of our government, in my lifetime no. it should be, but conservatives and religious freaks (not all of them) are apparently too close-minded to accept the idea. hopefully it will be less illegal or something. but i doubt it.
it will absolutely, within the next dozen or 2 years..we're so close now,. we're already split almost evenly at 50% for and against..and thats with so many americands just believing all the dumb lies theyres force fed..open up a few more minds..dispel a few lies..and reeducate just a few voters and the ballance gets tipped every state should get the issue on the balot and agressively get the word out..
with the way that things are going today.. i say yeah, pot is going to be legal one day. I mean, this is the 21st century, the women dress disgustingly trashy and the men are way too clean and feminine...so as long as the skirts are getting shorter and music, movies and tv keep pushing the envelop, one day will come where mary jane will be legal.
A lot of people don't know of the progress the US is making. In Denver, Seattle, Oakland and a bunch of smaller "college towns" it is legal to possess 'erb up to an ounce if you are 21. Yes state boys can press federal law, but it's moving in the right direction. In Alaska possesion is legal and it was on the ballot the last presidential election to decriminalize the sales and distribution. Many cities are close to legalizing the sale of small amounts (2-3 grams). Too many people are just sitting and wishing, when they could be helping the cause. My guess is it will be somewhat legal in most of the states within 30 years.
I think that sometime very soon that it will be legalized. I believe that our society is becoming more and more relaxed in all aspects, people arent as worried about having suit and tie jobs. I know that looking at my family things are changing from generation to generation. My parents were raised by strict catholics, and my parents saw through the bull, and vowed for a more relaxed religion, and me and my sisters are finding our way somewhere else. My grandparents think weed is the devil. My parents never smoked weed(maybe once) and think its bad, but my sisters and i have smoked together several times. so looking at that i would say that it is becoming more socially acceptable thats just how the world is working in my eyes
Don't really matter man... truth is you can get anything you want if you know where to look... Plus, if it were legal they'd probably tax it like cigarettes, 20 buck for a pack of 7 or something bull like that... ~Amadeo www.myspace.com/TheVagabondTroubadour
How is uncle sam making any money with it illegal? He is spending over $18 Billion a year on the 'War on Drugs,' and the biggest portion of that is going towards cannabis. The only way for the government to make $$ from cannabis would be to legalize it.
