Not if everyone who posts here does nothing about it. If it is ever legal in america I'll shit myself. America will be an entirely different state if that happens.
Well, I hope you mean leagal again, because it was legal in the US not too long ago. Several places have decriminalized, and that's good enough for now.
If the government can find a way to road test for pot in your system like they can with alcohol then it will become legalized shortly afterwards.
Yeah, pot should have been legalized a looong time ago. But there's still too many prudes and motherfucking assholes in this society who are against it. So, these motherfuckers think it's okay to bomb and kill innocent men, women and children and yet it's fucking illegal to smoke a plant, cannabis. Get a fucking life! Cannabis has been used for centuries by other cultures much older than ours, and yet some of us think, that somehow, this fuckin' sick American society "knows it all" and should still criminalize the use of marijuana. It just shows the stupidity and ignorance of our lawmakers, government, cops and this fuckin' establishment as a whole.
We've got it decriminalized around here now (in other words, possession is a no longer a criminal offense, but it'll probably get confiscated, and dealing/supply is) so I reckon we're heading that way. It'll be a brighter future once all drugs are legalised, whether the human race will exist at the point when all drugs are legalised is a matter for contention.
it will eventually, but i don't really care, other then that i don't think POSSESSION of ANYTHING should be unlawful. if and when america is once again a free country, or whatever replaces it eventually becomes one. there's also a certain ambiguity about the question. aren't there at least some places where its completely legal and several more where it's pretty much winked at. i don't know every law in every country, but is there any law against for example in papau/new ginnea? or namibia? or, i don't know, mongolia maybe? i know there are places in some parts of europe, or were recently where it was ok, but not to take it with you into other places where it isn't/wasn't. i mean every place has sort of its own take on it. i guess most places there are at least some restrictions. countries right next to each other where in one the cops and everyone else toke up and think nothing of it and right across the border in the next one where the'll throw you in jail for the rest of your life if you're caught with so much as a roach. i'm against banning POSSESSION of anything, but i have no desire to consume any sort of neurotropic substance legal or not. =^^= .../\...
Just had a quick trawl through wikipedia: Decriminalized: Argentina, Belgium, Colombia Legalized: Bangladesh, (most of) Ghana, Tanzania, Technically Illegal: Bahrain, Canada, Egypt, Germany, India, Italy, Nepal, Netherlands, Spain, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_cannabis_by_country
The US has the highest rate of incarceration on the planet, and our jails are overflowing with non-violent criminals. The impending economic unrest might make us take a look at where we are spending our money.
It is already legal in California for medicinal purposes, so that is a step forward. Also, Obama supports marijuana decriminalization. here's the proof: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQr9ezr8UeA&feature=related so i think we're on the way. it may take a long time, but i'm sure will get there someday. and i also think it should be treated like alcohol. it's ok to use it, but not in too large of quantities and you should not be allowed to drive under the influence.
In the 60's? That's when it had the least chance of being legalized - the demonetization of weed was out of control back then! A majority of the youth was smoking it and that was unheard of for any substance...now it's more on the downlow, so common place no one talks about it loudly or in a hushed manner either. As the older politicians die off we'll see more people from our generation or a bit older even go into office, and they'll know what's up haha. It's all about a large turnover in stodgy, anti-drug Congress! Give it time, and weed will be like alcohol, hopefully.
Hopefully some day, it'd be a big step if it were made legal. I don't get what's so wrong with it. Not like people have died from it or anything.
