Will you take a vaccine against Covid 19?

I live in Ohio and we are still below 50% vaccinated. The county I live in is at 63%. There is a lot of attitude to not vaccinate or wear masks. I am vaccinated and am still wearing a mask.

 

In Massachusetts, 5,013,817 people or 72% of the state has received at least one dose.

Overall, 4,410,963 people or 63% of Massachusetts's population has been fully vaccinated, and within the
next couple of weeks we will have achieved full herd immunity (or 70%)

In my hometown 90% of adults over the age of 18 are fully vaccinated, but we're quite progressive.

 

So vaccination centers are getting smaller crowds while ERs are getting overcrowded again.

So many in the red states are refusing the shots. In a speech in March Trump said, “I would recommend it, and I would recommend it to a lot of people that don’t want to get it, and a lot of those people voted for me, frankly,” he said during a Fox News interview. “We have our freedoms and we have to live by that, and I agree with that also,” he said. “But it is a great vaccine. It is a safe vaccine, and it is something that works.”

But then a couple weeks ago Trump said in a statement released via his Save America PAC, "Biden’s not doing well at all. He’s way behind schedule, and people are refusing to take the Vaccine because they don’t trust his Administration, they don’t trust the Election results, and they certainly don’t trust the Fake News, which is refusing to tell the Truth.”

So rather than trying twice to encourage people to save themselves he throws a wrench in the works. If he actually gave a shit about his supporters he'd be upset that so many of them who refused the vaccine are getting sick and dying. Perhaps now that his base has shrunk to the point that he realizes he's never getting back into the White House, his attitude is "Fuck them all!"

 

I'm sure the whole "getting sick and dying" part would be "Biden's fault", right?

So yes it's Biden's fault. He stole the election, and now people are rebelling against him by refusing to get vaccinated. They're getting sick and dying because Biden left them no choice but to refuse it.

Trump's remaining support base is shrinking fast and those still in it are acting like members of a cult that's coming to an end. The Covid Delta Variant is their version of the cyanide Kool-Aid.

So the Delta Variant spreads more easily than the original coronavirus. Plus more children and teens are getting sick from it than before, indicating that Delta is more resistant to our immune system.

So I guess the next variant will be called Epsilon. It appears covid is trying to evolve into something that spreads rapidly and can fight an immune system until anyone of any age can get sick or even die from it. And the more people who catch it, the more chances it has of developing a new variant. And yet many millions of people refuse to vaccinate.

Shit I sound paranoid, but this is what scientists are concerned about.

Many of those who refuse the vaccine feel it's a bigger risk than the virus itself. Interesting. There are 3 confirmed deaths from blood clots from the vaccine, compared to 610,000 deaths from covid in the U.S. alone. But these people don't believe the figures, they don't believe the media or the government, and they don't believe Dr. Fauci. Many of them have gotten sick and survived, going on record as stating they wish they had gotten the shots and encouraging others to do so. But even that has had only a limited influence.

If there's a silver lining it's that covid is now ravaging the stupid.

Texas politician dies of COVID 5 days after posting anti-vaccine meme

A Texas GOP official who consistently mocked COVID-19 vaccines and masks on social media, died five days after posting a meme on Facebook, questioning the idea of getting inoculated against the virus.

Dickinson City Council member and State Republican Executive Committee member H. Scott Apley, 45, died due to complications from COVID-19 Wednesday morning.

Apley was admitted to the Galveston hospital on Sunday with “pneumonia-like symptoms,” and shortly after, he was hooked up to a ventilator.

“He leaves behind his wife, Melissa, who is COVID positive, as well as their infant son Reid,”
