Actually, that's precisely how your soul will be 'won'. After all, it is logical for you to want yourself and those around you to feel emotional pleasure.

 

Then I suppose you need to redefine "soul"...

well you're going to have to get over the fact that humans have emotions, and you are HUMAN. And God is a God with Emotions. You will never connect with Him unless you get over yourself and allow Him to speak to you.
