I'd rather use wool then cotton or something. People don't seem to bat an eye about using cotton for everything and I doubt the animals that live in the areas where cotton is grown appreciate being covered in poisons.

Oh and thanks for giving me negative rep you fucking asshole.

I'm not gonna miss those -40C Alberta January's.

I heart my dreads even more in the winter. It's like built in insulation.

I'm a total pansy too... but I'm also a pansy about hot weather so I guess it's good I live somewhere where the temperature stays mild all year long.

I don't know how people survive with their dreads when they live somewhere that gets to 100 degree temperatures.

thank you mamamojo :) i need to start making baby tams!

as for wool, yeah, i don't know, i use it sometimes because it's great for dreads- it's like rubbing felt on your head. i've never shorn a sheep but from what i hear it can be brutal.

the high temperature here on monday is 7 F. that is -14 C for those of you who use proper temperature gauges :)

the whole celsius fahrenheit thing is really fricking confusing in this thread. gotta love the sociocentricity of everyone just posting numbers and assuming that everyone else on the forum uses the same measurement as them ;)

i'm in the US but am not used to the fahrenheit thing, so all i can say is that right now in san antonio the weather is mild.

This is our forecast today. I drive the kiddo to school so it's been declared a snow day by the bus driver (ie: me). The temps are Celsius.

    Today
Cloudy. Snow and blowing snow beginning early this morning. Amount 10 to 15 cm. Wind northwest 30 km/h gusting to 50. High minus 4.

    Tonight
Snow and blowing snow. Amount 5 to 10 cm. Wind northwest 40 km/h gusting to 60. Low minus 12.
