Am I totally misreading it or doesn't it say the age of the boys? 'Teenagers' is a pretty wide range.. and were they legally allowed to drink? Things like that matter as well I think.. I mean.. if the guys were like 17 and allowed to drink they have more responsibility than when they were 14..

It looks like this happened in Canada.... I think the legal drinking age there is 19. But I think incest is illegal no matter how old you are, and I think thats for just about every country.

Yeah, it's perverse, twisted, sickening, etc... all those things... and immoral... but why? I know that if they had kids, that would be bad, but these are teenaged boys, remember... if she were anyone but their mother then this would probably be a non-story... unless she was their teacher or something - anyone in a position of authority having sex with a minor always seems to have a distinct aura of coercion or abuse or something... but a teenaged boy (or at least 90% of the teenaged boys I know - or knew) WANTS to have sex and spends a great deal of time and effort pursuing it or at least fantasizing about it. The boys will suffer much more because of the publicity surrounding her admitting to it that they ever would have had it remained secret. There is, I suppose the tricky psychological trap of actually getting to live out the Freudian Oedipal fantasy, which might cause a few problems later, but the real damage to their lives will be the publicity, not that act.

Which was more harmful, do you think... the mother having sex with the boys, or her bringing the secret out into the light?

Seems like something the sons might regret a few years down the road.....I think thats really the issue with much older people and young teens having sex...

The publicity surely makes it much worse.

Well.. there are loads of young moms (just check these forums) so if she had a kid when she was 18 he would be 17 by now.. that would be 18 years of age difference between her and that son.. her age doesn't really say a lot about the age of the boys.. they are 'teenagers' so I guess it could range between 13-17 or sth?

This kind of shit goes on every day and nobody's doing anything about it; these boys are probably going to grow up to become sex-offenders. Their lives are ruined.
