Our hair sounds similar, but I colour mine. I am just frustrated with my hair. When I want to straighten it, it never looks smooth. Just big. I dont understand how hairdressers make it smooth. I have the same equipment and products. So I was wondering if it is like this because of colour treating it, though has alway sbeen thick, and I dont remember what it was like before I coloured it.

How was the undercut done? Did it help?

    Tree:Im jealous of your hair.

Aris: I was thinking of getting another chemical treatment to straighten my hair permantly (lasts like 6 months), I did it years ago.

It could have to do with the temp of your straightener.

i usually dye my hair, but i'm trying to get back to my natural color. I have lots and lots and lots of fine, wavy hair. i use only natural products that seem to keep my hair very healthy. i also do an olive oil treatment every two weeks.

I dye my hair, but I'm really bad with the upkeep. Lucky for me, I have a friend doing the whole cosmetology bit, and she cuts and dyes it for me. It's just a couple shades darker, currently, than my natural color, or at least what I remember my natural color being.

It's pretty thick and coarse. If I don't blow dry and straighten it every time it's washed, it looks pretty nappy. It will do this wave, but it's not like a pretty wave. And when it rains or is really humid, it does this regardless of my time spent on flat ironing.

Why don't you try blow drying your hair straight? Might help.

this is my hair right now pretty much

wavy and thick, really easy to work with, I don't really do anything at all to it.

I color my hair once a month "medium rich brown".. it's naturally a light brown color.

and I wash it every other day. I can't wash it everyday cause it gets too dried out.

My hair is perfect. Straight, slight curls in humidity, very little frizz, thick, so dark brown it looks black/blue, super shiny, no products since I was 16. I have it long now about 2 inches above my waist. I have maybe 6 bad hair days a year.

For now, mine is shoulder length, wavy and THICK... I usually just wash and put it up... if I need to straighten it I used a metal brush and blow dryer, so it's not too difficult. It's too thick to use a straightener really.

my hair won't curl without a pound of mousse, gel, hairspray and an hour of burning with a curling iron. even then, it'll only hold so long as the crust of products hold it in place.

You know, I have wave, but mine is the same way when it comes to curling. I have no idea what that's about... I'm sure mine is too heavy. :( It's beautiful when I grow it out with layers...

Before I cut my hair this summer, I miss my hair.

    Naked or this tree?

If me....I hate my hair. I look like an idiot with short hair, I can't curl it, and cute updo's don't stay. So my hair is either down or in a tight ponytail.

    I colour my hair!

    I'm white, so... Caucasian type?

Very volumous when not tamed with product upon product, curly (but I straighten it), and not too thick or thin.

Very difficult to work with.
