World Langauges and there pointlessness in school

    That's just really arrogant. It's ridicilous to think that English would somehow be superior to other languages even though it is one of the most spoken languages in the world. What if the Chinese would start demanding you to learn Chinese? I mean... why not? They have the right to do that, even more so than the English speaking people, coz after all... Chinese is the most spoken language in the world. You know... the US (or any of the English speaking countries for that matter) is not the only country in the world and it definitely isn't superior to other countries. For example, how would you feel if you were travelling to Italy and the Italians wouldn't talk to you just because you don't speak Italian? That would suck, huh?

    yes, certainly. however, in our own defense, i have yet to go to any country where people didn't speak english at least enough to communicate.


    however, i think fo rthe sake of mental development, even if you don't plan on leaving the usa, learning different languages when you're very young is idea.
