The people in the inquisitions who murdered others, were not, and are not, and never will be Christians. They did the work of their father, the Devil. I would say the same of your time, and there will never be any rest for people who support murder.

 

sometimes i really relate to that eye for an eye bit. If I could just get my hands on that guy who was going around shooting doctors who performed abortions, even though I know killing is wrong, I would bloody well twist his head off, Godwilling, but maybe I will become more forgiving some day...
some of those twisted serial killers, childmolesters, and wife killers will be safer then.

you are sure not kidding. supporting murder is very tiring. I sometimes feel that those who dont are just lazy, and use religion to get out of doing the dirty work. Every man should kill his own dog, dont make someone else do it.

No, Campbell, as much as you would like to say otherwise, these people were christians.

The represented themselves as christians, and trooped across the globe slaughtering everyone in christ's name. Millions. And not in Satan's name, in Christ's.

Regardless who's work YOU think they were doing, to the world, to the rest of existance, those are christians that did that. To the people that they murdered, those were christians.

But you don't see us busting your chops becuase you support a religion that murdered millions in it's name.

Here are some of the actions that groups of christians did that sadden me.

1. Flayed the Dean of the Library of Alexandria to death with Abalone shells, then burnt it down. Her name was Hypatia.
2. were let into Constantinople by the Christians who ruled it in 1204, and then raped and pillaged it for three days.
3. Trouped thru S. France and killed untold numbers of fellow Christians in the Albigensian Crusade. These heretics were clearly letting women be church leaders 'parfaits', denounced displays of wealth, and felt the material world was evil, only spirit was pure, and that Jesus was just a man.
4. Of course, the Nazi's

 

So our troops that the "Christian" Bush sent to Iraq to kill our enemies are going to Hell, that's what you're saying?

Point being, if someone wants to goad pro-choice advocates about supporting muder, then they better make sure they don't forget about thier religion's endeavors as well...

They might have thought they were Christians, but they were being led by false doctrine. Jesus said to love and pray for your enemies.

 

Glad you brought that up. Lets consider all the people murdered by the KKK as well, members of that group are also christians. They are responsible for numerous deaths here in the U.S.

Doesn't matter. They present themselves as christians. They participated and practiced christianity. To the people they are murdering, it is christians murdering them. To the rest of the world, it was christians commiting these acts. It doesn't matter if now you want to say they wern't real christians. They called themselves christians. They believed they were christians, just like you believe you are.


And if you support christianity, you must be supporting those murders, just like campbell said, if you support democrats you support the murder of babies.

 

So the few Christian among our troops that got sent overseas that are participating in this war on terror, and the Christian's here that support Bush's justifications and rejustifications are not being led by false doctrine?

and to hamstring their horses, in the old testament, mind you.
In the 11th century, the Christians who took Jerusalem killed the resident Christians for dressing different and tolerating the Jews and Muslims.

 

I should have been more clear and stated the teachings of Christ in the New Testament, as it Supercedes many of the Old Testament laws, as well as being for others besides just the Children of Israel.

 

But that would be ignoring the actual true answer to the question. and it supercedes it to you, not necessarily others.
