Point made! I was merely referring to...

You have heard that it was said, 'Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.'But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. (Mat.5:33-41)

as well as many, many other verses in the New Testament that are in a similar vein. I am well aware of this debate within the Christian community. Romans 1-7 states to follow the will of your nations ruler, but then we get down into the "Just War" theory, and how is it justified by the Bible.

We have rediscovered the hipocracy of the Christianity religion.

And now we get to sit back and watch their pathetic attempts at countering it. Sorry guys, you can not counter the past. You can not pretend it didn't happen. You are living a lie, and doing it willingly. You sure a hell better hope there's not a "god", because you're going to burn. I'm almost sure he dosnt look too kindly upon people such as yourself who willingly spread false words and practice religions such as yours.

some christians are very sincere, devout, accepting, loving, and living the example.

    Others...

I guess I would just rather not listen to them, no offense

I don't doubt SOME mean well and are cool people.

But just don't go running your mouth about killing people and abortions and try to stand behind Christianity as your excuse. I just hate the ones that use their religion as their scapegoat for everything.

False prophets present themselves as Christians. "Wolves in sheeps clothing"... Even satan masquereds as an angel of light. I believe one of the commands is thou shall not murder. Mainstream Christianity is dangerous because it's a false perception of Christianity. That is why I stress the importance of the Holy Spirit. I do not agree with murder. I do not support, "Religious", wars. I do not believe in eliminating someone because they do not share the same faith as I do.

A time is coming when I will be persecuted for my faith...

No Michele they were not Christians according to the bible. This is what Jesus says about people like that.
Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22. Many will say to me in that day, Lord Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Anyone can call themselves a Christian and they can represent themselves as Christians but in the end, God will do away with them. Doing somthing in someones name does not mean they are true belivers, especially when they are doing just the oppsite of what that person has taught them to do. The world can think what it want's, but God has already told us such people are not followers of Christ.

This isn't my logic, Campbell, it's your's. I was trying to point out to you that it is flawed. Calling all democrats murderers because they support a pro-choice candidate is like calling all christians murderers becuase they support a religion that has itself done very cruel and murderous acts in it's name.

I don't actually think all christians are murderers just because millions have been murdered in it's name. Just like one shouldn't call all democrats murderers because their candidate is pro choice. I just wanted to point out the flaw in campbell's logic.

Kerry has a strong diplomatic background. He's bound to make more headway with foreign governments than Bush, who's alienated most with his ignorance & arrogance. I'm for giving Kerry a shot at it.

    thats actually very flawed logic.

Supporting a candidate who is pro choice would keep the status quo, of people being murdered.

Supporting a sect of christianity doesnt make you guilt for those who hijacked the religion over the past 2000 years. Supporting those who DID hijack religion would make them murderers..

For one, Bush is not going to outlaw abortions if he has another term. This "status quo" you are talking about is coming from Bush's administration, he has kept the status quo just that. So with either candidate you are supporting the status quo. Abortions will not be made illegal if Bush serves another term.

So now, are you actually trying to tell me that it is perfect logic to call all democrats murderers because they support a pro-choice candidate?

And BTW, those responsible for the inquisitions didn't hijack the religion. It was the catholics; they were the religion. The catholic church is responsible for the widespread belief in christianity today. Just because their acts now make people a bit uneasy, you can't say they stole the religion just to make yourself feel better about it's past.

But none of that matters. It is a far, far, far......stretch to call me a murderer because I support a womans right to choose. And if some fanatical christian wants to call me that, I am more happy to call him a murderer because he supports a religion that has slaughtered countless in it's name. If he can't accept it, then he should be able to see why I can't accept his comment.

If you keep supporting pro abortion canidates, abortion will never be over turned. The more presure people put on the government to do away with abortion, the more of an incentive there will be for canidates to do away with it's legal status. Bush's ban on late term abortion was the first shot across the bow. Religon is not Christianity. I don't attend church because of my job, so i'm not involved in the religion thing. Yet I don't have to be involved with religion to be a Christian. And the inquisitions put many real Christians to death. Christianity is not a religion, it is a faith in Christ, not a faith in religion. And when you give someone the green light to take the life of their child, you are as guilty as the one taking the life. It's like standing next to a building shouting at a man on the roof to jump. How you can divorce your self from your pro choice action's is beyond me.

Yep, guilty, of taking the responsibility away from you and putting it in the woman who is pregnant's hands, where it belongs.

I named this pro-death to highlight the emotionally charged choice of names the anti-choice camp has.

I wonder if you would ever be able to kill someone? Is there any situation you can envision where you would do that? I know there are many for me.

Pro death really does not cover the reality of the act. Pro murder is more accurate. Don't sugar coat the atrocity. Be honest about it. Simply stated. You support a mother's right to hire a doctor to help her murder her child.

I support a mother's right to safely, legally, and without any impediments or harrassment, hire a doctor to murder (your word, whatever), the unborn foetus which is inside her body.

To me, the atrocity is the sickening spin the pro-life camp puts on this subject, as though they are the moral ones and pro-choice people are less moral. Well, they are no less moral. You do not have a monopoly on ethics, and although you say you are, you are no better than them for them having done this. Judge not, lest ye be judged.

Could you tell me why you are so sympathetic towards America's enemies. Did you forget that Iraq attacked our allies in the middle east. Did you forget they tried to kill Bush's father. Did you forget they rewarded family members who would blow themselves up, killing as many americans or Jews as they could. Did you forget they were shooting at American planes on a daily basis. Did you ever protest when Iraq would put human beings into shreading machines. Did you ever speak out when soldiers from Iraq would rape mother's and their children. No, I don't recall any protest from you. Actually, you only protest when a Republican is in the White House. Only then, are Democrats worried about children. And yes, the bible does state that people have a right to defend themselves. Paul states that if it is possible live peaceably with all people. Sometimes that is not an option. I think Bush is really trying to keep America safe, but he will fail. 911 is just the beginning. Our enemies will not rest until every American is dead. What is going to happen to our nation is almost unimaginable.

Like America doesn't have it's own atrocities...anyone remember the native americans? Many don't.

But think whatever you want, campbell. I understand that there is just no reasoning with some people.
