There goes that operative word again, congress, and until the GOP stops their obstructionism, putting partisan politics ahead of the country's well being, for the sake of sabotaging Obama's presidency, nothing will ever get done.

You think a republican president would've vetoed the NDAA?

If you hate Obama, you might as well accept that fact that he'll be president for another four years, because if Romney, Santorum, or Gingrich is the best the GOP can do, they don't stand a chance in hell. We'll just have to wait until they all get voted off the island, lol.

    I agree. :patriot:

Deep down, American politicians believe ignorance is bliss. How else would they get half the do-do bills to pass?

Part of getting them passed is tacking them on as "riders" on another "must pass" bill and they sail right through without question.

And we let them!!!!! One good thing about this depressed economy is the accountability that is now demanded from our leaders (and I use the word leaders loosely). It's still nowhere near what it should be but, it's going in the right direction.

Obama, Bush, HW Bush, Nixon and, Reagan. Every president who came after JFK was equally corrupt and evil. Including OBAMA...

Dude you can't seriously be defending him after that. He didn't have to sign the thing, but he did. Obama's also been killing American citizens without trial. So if you don't think he's "that bad," then don't vote this election. I would hate to see a good candidate lose to that War Monger..

If he had not signed the bill there would be no defense funding for the year... You can blame Obama as much as you want, I know you hate him with a passion, but he reluctantly signed it on the last possible day, hoping for a re-write that he didn't get.

But of course, it's all his fault

What about Sopa and Cispa? What about having the TSA search people on buses and public transportation? What about spending more of our money on the drug war, when it is an utter failure? Obama is a prophet of big government businessmen, whether you believe it or not, my friend.

I never said Obama was great, but I also won't blame him for things that are out of his control.

I just think the "not so bad," "Lesser of the two evils," Idea has to change, Ron Paul is better than obama esp. when it comes to the issue of war. I understand hippies tend to feel like the war on Lybia doesn't compare with Iraq, but he also has military interventions in many other countries too, (Pakistan etc.)

But my friend, the Libyan intervention wasn't about the people there (The same thing is happing all over the world.) But rather, it was about Gaddafi wanting gold for oil, instead of our dollar. We couldn't afford that so we just killed him.

I wish Obama was 1/3rd of the president that he was as a candidate, but sadly, he's not. Ron Paul is the only voice of reason in this 2012 election

Actually, there's proof that Obama specifically pushed for that line about indefinitely detaining citizens. Ask the senators.

Not if everyone thinks that way he wont. 53% of Americans want a third party candidate. If we got half that percentage to vote for him, he could very well win. Not to mention he has democratic, republican, libertarian and, independent supports. So I like to think he can win if people get the message and at least try to fight for the greater good.

Last I heard, Ron Paul said if he wasn't nominated, he would not run as an independent. Did he change his mind?

He always says "I can't predict the future" and what-have-you, but I really think he will, his support is growing by leaps and bounds. He even got alot of Santorums delegates. I'll write him in if I have to, because I want our constitution back, and I'll fight tooth and nail for it.

We don't know that yet. See that's what the media wants us to believe, but just look at this article:

    http://dougwead.wordpress.com/2012/04/19/ron-paul-pandemic-causes-romney-split/

Ron Paul could still win like Warren G. Harding. I know the system is rigged, but you never know what could happen. The fact that the Romney campaign is still afraid says a lot. Plus, ever since Santorum dropped out a lot of supporters moved to Ron Paul's side. I'm glad he's still persevering no matter what, even in the face of doubt and adversity. Really inspirational.

Sorry but until RP comes up with some kind of realistic environmental policies he has no chance.

And until the elected politicians get spending under control, and begin to eliminate the debt owed, the Nation and future generations are going to see their chances diminished greatly.

Ending the EPA and letting citizen organizations take care of it sounded good to me. The EPA is just spending more of our tax money on a program that doesn't work.

None of them are worth a shit if they can't see that capitalism is a one-way road to oblivion. No one seems to be able to think outside the paradigm of "jobs-jobs-jobs--lets' get 'er cranked up again and get this shit used up. There will be a HUGE change somewhere in the future for humanity. An example=if the earth had to be evacuated for some catastrophic reason and the means were at hand--who do you think would get to go?? We common folk? ppppfffttttt. The usual would/will apply. So until some actual foreward thinking people get-------nah--forget that. We don't act with much forethought. We wait until we're right up against a serious or potentially serious situation before we start thinking about doing anything.

GW Bush regarding global warming=We'll adapt.
