I supported Jackson when he ran for president in the 1828 election, because he held himself to be a man of the common people, but when I saw his cruelty to the Cherokee and his favoritism to special interests, I regretted my vote.
Since then, I have been much more careful to find out more about the candidates.

Obama is a nightmare!!! I liked Bush better, cause at least with Bush you could say he was doing a bad job, without Liberals and democrats biting your head off for it. Obama is the continuation of Bush...

Other - Obama. Every campaign promise failed to even make progress on. Definitely worse off that when he was elected. At least the other not so good ones at worst did nothing to help, Obama has hurt. More unemployment, more Poverty, lower incomes, higher prices on food, fuel and just about everything else.More people on welfare, etc....

Some have compared him to Charlie Brown and the Republicans to Lucy van Pelt...
Whenever Obama wanted to kick the ball, "Lucy" took the ball away at the last minute and blamed him for not kicking it!

The answer to a thwarted president with the right goals,
is not to give power to the devious men who thwarted him.

Democrats and Republicans have both voted for pork barrel projects in their districts, inflating the budget to the point that social programs were squeezed out. Republicans in particular have a strategy of voting "no" to any bills that Democrats have a part in, even if the bill is identical in almost every way to one of their own. Obama-care is evil they say, but Romney was proud and remains proud of his nearly identical healthcare plan for Massachusetts. What's the difference? A bill is good or evil depending on whether your party created it!

Obama can only do so much in the face of wrong-headed Republican values and in the face of corrupt politicians from both parties.
It is up to "we the people" to clean up Congress so our president can do his job.

Looks like most people agree on this poll. I had a hard time between Johnston and Little Bush. Both started wars and Johnston did become rich over it, but Bush Jr. started two at the same time and one which had already bankrupted one superpower. I think another poll could be “who killed the most people”. Bush still might win when we count both sides.

The difference is Federal and State. Illegal and legal.

And to think that Obama isn't just another corrupt politician is being naive. He's in bed with wall street just as much if not more than any other president.

At least Obama ran on being for Main Street and against Wall Street.
If you call him on his hypocrisies, it is a promise broken and he will have to back down or face the wrath of the people who elected him.

Romney makes no effort to hide the fact that he is a shill for big business. If he keeps his promise to step on the neck of the average citizen and support big business, it is a promise kept and those who put him in power will be pleased.

That sounds like you're saying, "At least Obama is a bold face liar and Romney is honest."

Obummer hasn't come through on anything that he promised. But the people who elected him are too busy spouting "Republicans are bad, mkay." and waving around their Obama flags to give a shit. Anyone who calls him out on his hypocracies are automatically labelled a racist right wing conspiracy theorist.

Obama may be going slowly, but he is going in the correct direction.
Romney is trying to repeat Little Bush's policies and hoping for better results second time around.

HAHAHA God. Look up the NDAA, NDRP, CISPA, HR347 and, the FAA reauthorization act THEN tell me Obama's going in the right direction.

Obama even extended "little Bushes" Patriot Act...

Obama is leading this country to a dictatorship, but hey, if you think that's the right direction, who am I to say otherwise??

Would you care to point out what he's done to show that he's going in the right direction?

It's quite easy to name things he's done that should be considered treason, but I come up empty trying to name something he's done to push us in the right direction. Maybe you can change my mind?

I find it pathetic that they impeached Clinton, but haven't even brought up the idea with Obummer.
