I dont think The Blob has been mentioned. That ranks up there with Plan 9 and Tomatoes.

No way ...

As a kid, that was the scariest movie I ever seen ... the black and white one that is, not the new one.

I was so scared that I was afraid to get off the couch and I kept looking all over the walls and ceiling when I went through a door ...

Dont think I was ever so scared in my life from a movie as I was from that one.
