I'm a fatso because I quit smoking and started drinking. Hmmm maybe I should start smoking again....Nah I can't afford it.
They can both be equally dibilitating from a fitness standpoint. I guess from a vanity standpoint I would rather be a smoker than a big ol fatass. That is until you get old. Smoking does take it's toll over time and becomes quite unatractive.
I've accepted being a smoker, but I doubt I could accept being a blimp. I dunno, exercise seems easier than quitting cigs, although I wish I never started smoking.
I say that both take equal amounts of will power. Thats why we have both smoker and blimps. If either were easy we'd have neither.
Maybe you're right Dave. I have been fajt though. I was a very fat 83kgs at the age of 21. Once I started, exercising was easy and enjoyable for me. I think that there are so many sports that people forget can keep them fit and they tend to concentrate on gymwork which ultimately is a quite boring solo exercise.
Lots of truth to that. I have quit smoking myself and it was not easy but accomplishable. I guess it depends on the individual more than anything.
On the topic though.. when I decide to have kids, there is no way I'm going to keep smoking cigarettes. I feel like that is a goal I've set, when I find out I'm pregnant, the cigarettes are gone for life. I don't want to raise my kids around them. and if, as a mommy, I become a little chubby, I'd take that over being a smoker. I'm hoping I can grow up, quit smoking, have kids, and stay fit. this sounds like a goal for sure.
I place a lot on physicality, so I'd rather be a smoker (a human chimney) than sacrifice my dexterity consider the alternative http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=fqz1ojIQTBk Hotwater
