You just want it too bad.
Just relax and write. It will come.
You may have closed your doors of perception. You have to try to open it.

Thanks man, I read this is thought to myself "maybe your right". So I just relaxed and an old movie script idea came to my head. I started to write it out and everything came to me. THANKS FOR THE ADVICE!

Try joining an online poets' group. I find being part of a community normally stirs things up.

the most comman cure for writers block is just to write, you can always trash it, but write anyway, just any thing, someone should start a writers block forum were people can just post random stupid things,

I have been a writer all my life and over the past few years it seems as though my talent, muse, ideas or, whatever you want to call it have STOPED!!! Dry like a desert...
When I do write it's always about love in some form or fashion and I'm not sure why? [IMG].... With everything going on the world one would think I would have a ton to write about so any help on how to cure this or overcome it would be great!!!! [IMG]

Jane, you say you've been a writer all your life and that you are suffering from what is commonly known as 'writer's block'. I also notice that you are 21 years old. Assuming that the average human being lives to be about 80 years old, you have many, many long years ahead of you in which you're probably going to witness things that you could not imagine. So don't worry about writer's block. It doesn't exist. Your mind is probably stopping you from writing any old shit unless you feel good about it. Go out and have a good time and when you're up to it, sit down and write. If you force yourself to write, you'll go off it. So don't think about it. Go have a drink.

obviously the cures are different for everyone. i haven't had writer's block in a long, long time, just short periods where i can't write anything (i think there's a difference).

eat some LSD, that's never failed anyone.

When I get a block in my mind, I just write without thinking or concerntration. It may start out a jibberish, but I continue to simply write. If that doesnt work, I do something to let my mind stew. Sometimes if I am concentrating too hard on the topic, it prevents my thoughts on that topic from releasing fully.

well , dont force the writing when u have a block , well i dont..because then whatever i write sucks. or at least it sucks in my mind, but anyways, i say GET INSPIRED!!!
find somethin that inspires u, and go from there. but just dont force it, cuz if ya do, it wont happen man! and i duno if u smoke or not..but i find when im stoned alot of words just come 2 my head and its jus soo easy to write, because it lets yer ideas flow ALOT easier. try it if yer not already a stoner as it is. or if u are, try writign when yer stoned or something. goodluck!

I think there was quite a good thread on this a couple of weeks ago.

I either leave it alone for a while, write whatever, or think outside the box.

Whatever the case, it's writers block that forces us to actually be creative.

    Blessings

Try going on a nice exotic holiday, somewhere east. Try going to Kenya, or South Africa. Broaden your horizons.

Yeah, being stoned gives me better ideas. The story or poem or whatever I'm writing is a little disorganized or jumbled, but the ideas seem to usually be more creative. Pot's good for rough drafts.

for me, writing can never be forced. so i just wait it out. sometimes it takes years. inspiration by experience is the best cure though. without life experience you have no material...

i have this theory that writers block is a phase when you are in the chrysalis.
transfornation of your ideals, views ambitions, intentions, and perception....it's a time when your style is so rapidly progressing that you get this feeling of 'where do i start' when you get the pen to paper...
it needs time to develop and mature.. patience and all the other things a catapiller preparing to be a butterfly would need.
look at changes in you and let them flourish into WHATEVER they want.. ie; let go of the reins, run wild....let loose....experiment with jiberish! good lcuk matey!
and remeber the process is about turning into something so much more grand and beautiful than you've evr experienced before!!!!
