Sorry if I didn't get the picture! Your right, its very unlikely that anything like that would happen. It's all about good vibes - love and peace and yes, ecstasy (not mdma!)!! I just wanted to make clear that one can perform ordinary functions on lsd if the need arises.
I realize this; although pinching a loaf isn't exactly easy when the walls around you are breathing... Ya, make sure you remove all bodily waste before tripping.
are you sure you weren't hallucinating everything? I mean, I've been known to see drunk bikers with pianos and police asking me to play for them while on LSD. Just kidding mate.
This was all real enogh - unfortunately! There were witnesses who could verify that, for instance, the person I mentioned who edned up in hospital. I understand that the Grateful Dead used to play on acid - back in the early days. Whether you like the Dead's music is irrelevant here, it goes to show though that things can be done on acid.
Jimi Hendrix played on LSD a few times; I don't know if it was at concerts, but I know he sometimes jammed while on the stuff.
Ok, can someone help me with something? How does LSD effect you? I've heard it doesn't kill brain cells. It just effects the brain somehow. What does it do? And does it have any long term effects on you? I know now it doesn't stay in your back like I've heard. Also, how are acid trip flashbacks possible? thanks
From what I can gather (information on LSD's neurological effects is VERY limited), LSD binds to serontonin receptors, and from there causes your neuron's to move faster, thus distorting perceptual information on it's way to your subconscious. There are some long-term psychological effects, such as ego loss, and in some advanced cases, PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) and PHPD (Persisting Hallucinogenic Perception Disorder) can occour, or even worse, LSD use can bring underlying, latent mental conditions (such as schitzophrenia) to the surface; but only when someone is already suffering from the disorder. Check Erowid for more in-depth correlation.
Indeed, it helped me to overcome my fabricated depression. I had been batteling with the concept for more than a year, and I finally rid myself of the thought and was able to function in life again. I later had a revelation (several months after the experience) that the point of life is to make ourselves unique; to do what we want to do and define our image and views on our own. Oddly enough, this was related to my fake depression; I lost myself because I got deeply involved socially with many people, and then I moved and was stripped of it. I realized that I had depended on them to reinforce the idea that I was worth something; which made me force myself into the depression. That is why LSD is one of the greatest substances ever created; when used correctly, you can overcome many personal hardships.
That's terrible; you should never fuck with someone who is on a powerful psychoactive. That is why I know I can never trip in the presence of one of my friends as he has no regard for people who are in altered states; he even stated that he would fuck around with somebody if they were on LSD. I know he used to scare a friend of his (who ran away from home and did a lot of other weird stuff, long story) when he was high. I shudder to think of what he would do around me; he isn't able to take psychoactives because he has an underlying anxiety disorder that pops up every now and then in panic attacks.
man maybe people should know there own mind and body before using or promoting or trashing/putting down various types of drugs cuss let's face it no one has a miracle answer and shit always happens. If you don't want to become an acidhead then take acid with a mindset that you won't ever become an acidhead. Self control is a pretty easy thing to master, it just takes time and will.
I have read many posts and I think everyone has good pts. whether ur for or against LSD. I have never taken LSD, but some of my friends use to and still do. My friends who use to take don't take it anymore due to the fact that they have developed bad speech problems since taking the drug. They will be talking and sometimes they won't be able to get out what they want to say out even remotely correctly or at all. I don't even know how to describe it really, but this has steered me personally away from LSD. Have any of u guys experianced the same thing?
Never come across anything like this in myself or others, Are you sure it is LSD your freinds have been taking?
my trying to understand how lsd could have caused this leads me to one rational explanation...having tripped many times myself... lsd probably took him at one time or another to that beautiful place that is beyond words...some would call it god, but it has no name. coming back from behind the veil, it is often difficult to fall back into your old place in the illusion. difficult to articulate words as your thinking patterns may be a bit beyond words. ask him if he thinks in words? i bet youll find that he dosent, and maybe thats where his "problem" comes from...anyway this is just my guess, i could be completely wrong
Yah they were def. doin LSD... they did it alot for a short period of time! The whole thing was kind of crazy.
OK- but this is strange, I have been into this for many years and I've never encountered any similar phemomenon. Are you sure that your freinds haven't been mixing drugs - for example taking MDMA along with it?
