I dont believe it is common for a discussion with many joiners to follow one narrow thread of topic, Im pretty sure that a discussion covers many facets of topic that may stray out, but still be able to stick to somewhat of a main subject.

it's just bad, he has a serious record, he talks about criminal behaviour in his "music" in a serious manner, never making clear that there is any sort of satire or sarcasm about it, and he's just bad at what he does.......

oh wow oh wow...i am going to try to remember everythign i wanted to agress in this thread without going back [i am on a slow computer]

First off-America is a giant land mass seperating the Altlantic and Pacific Oceans, not a country.

Secondly-the title of the hread makes little to no sense. Why do canadains hate america because the government wants to stop 50¢ [man with criminal record] from coming into the country

Thirdly-When referencing political parties in Canada, please use Capital Letters cause "liberal" does not equel "Liberal" here.

Fourthly- When you [Bassist Reid] gave examples of people with criminal records who were allowed in Canada, sitareric [i think it was sitareric, i am not sure] said people who weren't famous, you listes the stones and GD.

Fifthly-Canada is a soverign country, and technically our border guards could stop anyone from coming over for no rason what-so-ever [except that then there would be a huge shit fest, so i doubt that wil ever happen]

Sixthly-Iron Goth, loved your comment on the Gun Registry..lol

Seventhly-yeah, me too chuck. I am becomeing more conservative too, but not so much on economics or such, but more on laws [like jail time, drug laws and other such things...but i am stil liberal when it comes to stuff liek healthcare and education]

Anywho, i got all that out, now i can comment on what i think...You know, i don't think it is a bad idea [even if it is a bit of a stunt]. I mean, as sitareric brought up, why SHOULD celebrities get special rights? they are people too, they just happen to have millios more monies than everyone else.

And speaking of violence, this week some high school boy was murdered by other kids after they were thrown out of a house party. They came back later [with bear spray and lead pipes] to "get their cell phone. I am not saying that they guy who was murdered might not have dpone somethign to provoke the guys [he answered the door] but the 4 boys obviously knew what they wanted to do...Violnece [especially youth] is getting worse and worse here

 

EDIT: oh yeah, the USA also deported a Canadain born citizen [of Syrian decent] to syria cause i guess he was suspected of being a terrorist--nice job

ok, so the canadain governemnt dropped the ball on getting him back [he was tortured while in jail there] but still, the USA sent him

I want a lean and fit government that takes my tax money, gives me a statement every year where there is no tax refund (because tax refunds are mistakes) that says where every dollar I spend is sent

further it should pay to support only people who need it

should make sure people have jobs (not only by creating the jobs, but by helping them aquire them)

should also do health care, and all three tiers of education

these are the things a government should do....

 

id like a government that regulates businesses rightly, leaves education to the states, and takes care of healthcare... semi-liberal with social issues, pro-free speech and expression....no warmongers... also takes care of the u.s.'s problems before trying to "fix" the rest of the world....
no private funding for political campaigns! or maybe its public that i'm thinking of...

I really don't understand how the current government not wanting 50cent and his trashy ass music in our country equates to hating Americans. Threads like this, make me want to start hating though. Seriously, pull the stick out of your ass and get a fucking clue while you're at it. The majority of people here don't give a shit about 50cent, dont' give a flying fuck about what America or Americans do as long as it doesn't have any serious negative repercussions on us. Which happens a hell of a lot btw, but no, you chose something on which the majority of Canadians have NO opinion to decide that WE hate YOU.
