Just for the record...I would like to WHIP THE ASS of whoever "owns" this female cat in heat that is driving my Sam and the other (very beat up) tom crazy. They are ALL on the porch right now. I went out there for 1 second...she was all over ME, swirling, whirling, yowling, purring. smdh

    That's a shame, Lynn.

I'm working on the outdoor brood now. I've gotten one spayed and one neutered. Actually, it was supposed to be two spayed but he was hiding his manhood in a bunch of fur.

yeah it would be nice if cat owners would follow the pet laws but for some weird reason they all think they dont have to

I think the term cat "owner" is very... subjective..
I'm not entirely sure that a high percentage of people actually own their cats, or, the cats just tolerate 'em? :D

I'd never really thought about it before but have just read an article stating that if women were to stop buying materialistic brand names make ups etc. as well as simple hygiene tools that have been developed by marketing such as birth control, tampons, special soap etc. for only two months the worlds economy would crumble.

That gives us a heck of a lot of power in the world when it comes to money. :D

Then I went on to read it's the brand name, fabricated goods for women that are responsible for world hungers and fuels the worsening conditions that factories are facing in other countries.

I dunno if any of that is True, but I thought about it for a minute as I typed this.

I can't say I disagree. Even though I have 2 inside cats, they are more the boss than me...and for whatever reason that doesn't bother me in the least! :D

Then there is outside Sam and he definitely tolerates and bosses whatever is out there. He has me trained to feed him what he likes and he showed me where to fix up his area/cat bed, which is on top of the deep freezer. Even when all 3 of those dingdang cats were on the porch, only Sam was on the freezer. lol

I'll say this though...whoever feeds Miss Priss in heat may not "own" her but they damn well should have had her fixed. (and she certainly doesn't look so fine eating mice and living outside)

I wish I could say "NOOOO Aeri, you are wrong" but I can't. :bigcry:

Just seeing that pitiful whipped butt tom with his busted up ear, swollen eye and wheezing laying comfortably on the throw/rag rugs on the chair about breaks my heart. I think he was abandoned. For months I'd see him from a distance, like there was a place that he could go and maybe get a meal and a shelter at night...but in the past couple of months things changed. I have the feeling he hasn't had a sheltered place to sleep in months.

Miss Priss coming around isn't the reason he has been around so much and so steadily in the last month. Her mess just began last week.

My boy won't leave the garage when it opens, my covered car port I mean, because I always growl at him. I want him to sit and wait first. So we've got that down and that's what he does but he's just learned if he kicks or spits his ball out and it rolls outside those doors well he knows I'll let him go catch his ball so it doesn't roll down the road. Little bastard. :d

    I WANT A SMOKE!

Today when I walked outside I saw the catnip/catmint has survived and is growing. That's going to be my on-rare-occasion smoke material I've already decided.

Its good to have a plan. I remember reading that inside one of Def Leppard's albums (casettes back then)...there was more to it than that but that stuck with me ever since...and they added "even if you change them, you still need to have a plan". Of course there was more than that, but reading that, thinking about it really helped me at different times. :)

I loved them, and have much respect for the tenacity it took to be a one-armed drummer.

I walked a cat on a leash today.

    I've never done that before.

now all the trees are coated in ice and there is no wind so even the twigs have an inch of snow stuck to the top edges

I have walked BB on a leash! When I first came up with a PLAN to walk her outside, I bought this little perfect size harness for her. Aside from it costing WAY too much after I finally got it on her she would immediately fall down like I laid a load of bricks on her back.

Then I decided well, I just use a collar, which I did...and we were able to walk outside some. I would have to wear a jacket and thick gloves for her sharp and penetrating claws, which she loved to use when it was time to come in or she was headed to the wrong place. I decided she was happy enough bossing me around inside.

I hope you have a better time/more success than I had. I have a cousin that regularly walked her cat outside for years.
