You Can't Always Get What You Chat..

Doing good. I kinda wanted to go Mexico for the new year for a concert but the cost and risk of being kidnapped by a cartel was too much. So I stay in boring Colorado.

It sounds like you are doing the right thing, especially if you CAN take them to court to justify that bill.

Here, the power company is just like the phone company (land line)...that they don't even have competition. There is NO recourse to be found. You don't get to take them to court. If you don't pay WHATEVER they charge for whatever, then your electricity is cut off. If you don't pay your phone bill, its cut off.

The best thing you can do is to write them a scathing letter and then (if you can) get that letter printed in the local newspaper.

Its the same thing with banks...if THEY make a mistake and you can even prove it with bank balances being completed along with the check register - it doesn't matter what you can prove. Not in this state. The bank (which ever bank) is considered God...right along with utility companies and AT&T

 

What are specific differences in appearances between thai, japanese and chinese anyway? Curiously Indian asians have a very particular look that may not set them apart in looks from pakistani or other neigbouring countries but definitely from chinese, thai etc.

And yeah it may get annoying at times but what can you do about it!?

Gettin kidnapped by a cartel is no fun. Although I think most of the touristy spots in Mexico are safe (Cozumel, Cancun, Los Cabos etc). Where abouts are you in CO?

 

Yeah that is what everyone told me that they don't bother the tourist spots because they make a lot of money there and it's bad for bossiness to scare people with kidnappings. I'm near Conifer.

 

Right on. I'm not too far from you, I'm down in Pueblo. At least until the end of June cause I paid a 6 month lease here up front. When that's up I may consider relocating elsewhere in the state.

I agree with you on this. It is usually standard policy that if they are called out and show up they are paid at the very least a flat rate. That while frustrating is reasonable as it is their time.

Seems like most have been busy lately with a lot of other things and life kind of happens sometimes.

The weather here has been mild (for us) and a lot of people I know seem to be out side catching up on stuff.

 

I am retired but still know what day it is, at least most days.
