Aeri... I have a neighbor who has offered to lend me her free-arm quilting machine and her serge machine. Yikes! Expensive machines AND they are so computerized that there's no way I'd ever figure out how to even thread the things. Tech stuff makes me cry. :) I really wanted to borrow them but I couldn't afford to replace them right now and I just KNOW I'd fk 'em up.

Walking foot Pfaff... Great for leather work. Like making tall Renne Faire boots...

I just found this image on the net, but I swear that's my old machine... Bet that guy sold it.

Yeah me too. I was #51 all time for students for my school's meet. I am sure I have been knocked down a few spots by now but I was so mad I didn't crack the top 50.

I'll read the sewing posts soon. :)
I think I'll be getting a relatively new sewing machine when I make the leap to get one.

It was about 2.5km in 16mins. So that's 1.5 miles in 16mins and that sounds real slow, but I wasn't going for the Olympic record or anything. And I got about an hour rest when I went back to bed.

There was a company I remember in Australia called "Rumbles" I think it was. It was earth moving equipment, big yellow bulldozers etc. took me years to work out why it was called "Rumbles" Barnie Rumble. :D

    That was Barney Rubble [IMG]

Rubble is small pieces of left over scrap stone from rock cutting. These days they grind it into gravel, grade it and sell it.

Rumble is sometimes used as a word for the noise and shaking earth moving equipment makes... It was/is also used as a word for fighting.

Trying to be more of my old self. Apparently, that means working my heinie off. I got tons of housework done today. I guess that's a happy thing. I even cooked. Mexican pizza.

Screwed it up, though. It tasted great. Some of our own pizza sauce from our tomatoes. But, the frozen shell I bought came out of the oven all doughy with the outer shell edges burned.

If I make the shell from scratch, do you cook it totally and THEN add the pizza stuff on top and cook it again? What's the trick to making homemade pizza?
