so much of todays music blows ass especially bands like good charlotte and blink 182 then dont even get me started on all that bullshit noise "music". but two bands that i really dislike are OAR and dave matthews band, both of them annoy the hell out of me and i want to die when i hear their songs or the annoying voices of any of their looser fans!!

 

Okay first of all, my current complaint is petey pablo.. with his freak a leak song... seriously it is so bad! I hate most rap... what can i say I get sick of hearing about cars I will never afford, hoes, and infidelity.

I HATE good ( not so sure its good) charlotte, sum 41, blink 182, green day, all of that shit. So many people at my school raved about that... and Simple Plan....

If anyone thinks Good Charlotte and Simple Plan are punk they obviously haven't heard a lot of Punk before.

Besides I think people throw that words punk rockers around a little too much. They say Avril Lavigne is punk, they say sum 41 is punk, they say blink 182 is punk, they say linkin park is punk, they basically say anyone is punk.

It's become a cheap brand name to market on like Grunge in the early nineties. It automatically makes them look more appealing, but in the process they take away the true meaning of the word.

I've said it once and I'll say it again Good Charlotte and Simple Plan are not rock, they're boy bands dressed as rock bands. They're pre-packaged manufactured safe rock bands.

If you want great rock bands you have to dig deep these days beyond what MTV tells you, no offense to anyone here, I'm not referring to anyone in particular. The great rock bands are the ones not shown on TRL 24/7 nor are given their own reality show.

I personally think the yeah yeah yeahs are a great rock band, not punk but still kick ass, and the hives and The Strokes are great rock.

The true female empowerment singers (Stop me if I'm mising someone) were Heart, Pat Benatar, Chrissy Hines from The Pretenders, Joan Jett, and the donnas. These girls make songs about teasing men without coming off as bitches.

Well, first of all i'm new here...
As for the subject.... man, I don't like hearing you say that some bands suck and that you HATE them... you know, listen to whatever you like. All bands worth something, if they don't, if you just can't find it, then probably that band is not that mature.
Slipknot is a GOOD band. They really are new, they have their value. I personally don't like them that much, they probabily hate hippies or think they're confuse, but that's no reason I can't listen to their music.

As for what Ithink it's bad, I'd say fake music. I only listen to true music, something that the artist really wanted to play. It may be bad! It may happen that noone will buy the CD. But the artist really has to like his own music. If he doesn't, then who will?

I don't like Evanescence. I think their songs are allways the same and they don't have what it takes to play what they want to. But who knows if they won't be a great band in the future?

 

As much as the Darkness is completely unorigional and shit. Their guitars are brilliant.

I hate them but I love "get your hands off of my woman"

And on Slipnot and all other pop pretending to be rock, it really sucks.

I hate bands that conform to pop music. Or bands who just do it for the money. Best example is Nickleback. They have to be one of the worst bands. Plus all hip hop.
