I'm pretty sure that it wasn't Bush who was doing any thinking.... watch how he moves and talks when in public or on tv... it isn't natural and is more puppet like than anything. As for his decisions on the Gulf War Part Deux, well he's a fundamentalist christian from a state that is known for its religious extremism... it doesn't take too much examining of coincidences and illicit deals/secret service action to see the connection between starting a religious war by any means necessary in order to both further right wing christian causes and to further his own socio-political powerbase.
I was having a cheap ironic laugh, I'm allowed to do so because errmmm, I have ermmm, Welsh ancestry. That'll do. and lol Phoenix
Which doesn't apply to me *does a little dance* Oops, forgot, the CIA probably can enforce it in Britain, seeing as we're effectively an American colony.
*nods in fear* :stunned: they're coming for me now. they're going to take away my democratic voter registration and and burlap reusable shopping bags...and my birks!!! how will i live without them?
That's what I get for not reading the whole thing before I voted on it. Wait a second I didn't vote for this thing!
ha. damn true. ever since the 40s for damn sure - germany lost the war, and gets reparation help to this day, including from britain, britain (along with the other allied powers) won the war and still part of the huge burden of taxes goes straight over to the american government to pay for that help.... something that seems overlooked every budget time. and yet like most people, even those born in the 70s and 80s we had to grow up surrounded by bombsites, and the empty shells of where families and friends used to live. Sure America lost a lot of soldiers, but Britain lost countless innocent lives and still has to pay. mind you it works both ways, we're effectively the 51st state but like any relationship we still have the power to completely screw up the american system....
lol seems kinda familiar.... electronic voting... which button do i press? damn i meant to press the other one, no i did press the correct button, but the fucking computer won't register it... yeah i definitely pressed the button for the democrats, but that fucking piece of shit computer keeps telling me that i pressed the republican button, even tho i didn't... hold on... who installed the computer system?... a company which has republican ideals, who made the computers in the first place? a company owned by a businessman who has republican ideals at heart.... a company owned and funded by someone whose best interests would be served by bush getting in to the whitehouse. ... just the way of the world, with money comes power, and with more money comes more power... who has the cash? people who want to keep having cash, and who has the power? the people who are least suited to have power, and yet they are the people who want to keep having power.
We don't owe a debt of gratitude to America. We owe a legacy of anger at America. The iraq invasion that has cost so many lives and has made our world a dangerous place. Perhaps if America went around to all the countries they have bombed. Beg for forgivenss and stop acting like the world police. THen perhaps we will forgive USA.
That would take a long time and a lot of begging, perhaps we could like just send cards, would that work ? Peace
Giving out cards to families who have lost loved ones to the bombing campaign by the Americans( and I am ashamed to say britain too) isn't enough. It is like some guy murdering someone and then popping a card in the post to the family. America seems to behave like the world police. They are increasing tensions and anger in the middle east. They are yet again trying to make Iran seem like another world threat. They are creating nuclear only for energy purposes only. There is no evidence to support any of Dubya's claims. He just wants yet another oil patch. In America, money is more important than morals and ethics. You only have to look at Las vegas. You can get LIFE imprisonment(This means LIFE) for conning a Las Vegas casino. It would take America a long time to apologize to all the victims of America's bomb campaign and indeed its past. America has always been a nation that has colonized what it can. I believe that they now have 49 stars in their flag. They may aswell make it fifty. Iraq being the fiftieth. Though I try not to judge individual Americans. Most don't support the Bush administration. Most didn't want the War to happen. Like us Brits and those around the world, they came out in their thousands to protest against the invasion. Yet, Bush didn't listen. He turned his back on the American voice and went ahead anyway. He led America to a war, based on a lie. This is pretty ironic, our Prime Minister did the same. There are so many Americans, that I cannot analsye everyone of them. I believe that the American people are a victim of their government. If we left it to the American people, I doubt we would have a Nation that strusts the world stage with all its spangle, dictating to countries, but yet not having any control own problems. Maybe America would fare better if it didn't behave as the world police. 9/11 was more than a tragedy. It was a consequence. But still Bush don't learn.
though i suppose people would be much more comfortable just getting a note than getting a government official knocking on their door...seems to reason.
I always feel that the personal face to face is better than recieving a piece of card that has written in bold black letters: ------------------------------------------------------------------------- You're husband has died in Iraq. Your government owes him a debt of gratitude for his years of service in the American army. Call this number for more information Klyndike 5, 3221 000. yours sincerely Dubya. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
