JOhn JOhn, colonize, lol now, can you name one, we have no designs on taking other countries, we were attacked and we fought back, did we go after the right country in Iraq, NO, was Afghanistan the right one, in a way yes the goverment there was part of it, and world police ? How about calling us the worlds sugar daddy, do you have a clue how much of our money goes to other countries ? a shit load, and what do we get back from them hate, we do not do it to buy friends but to help people, what we should do with some of these people is to remind them that they live in a desert and if they would get out and take care of themselvs they could hate us without the need for our money, we the people DO NOT want war, we want peace and to be left alone, what if we went isolationist, how would the rest of the world fair. Again we do not colonize, in fact any one of our states can drop out of the union if they really want. I don't want to rant, but give us break we are not evil.

How can this be? How can the people of America, many who probably didn't vote, but know friends who did, and other's who directly voted for Bush administration. Thus also the fact that if you were to ask any American what they thought about lethal injection or the humaneness of suspected pain that the condemned go through after injection two is administered. Many would say, in their loud American accent, "They deserve every bit of pain".

Now lets look more to the way America behave to the world. They continue to act like the World Police. Getting involved with other countries affairs, dictating to everybody how to live and run a Nation. Asthough America is so perfect. A rolemodel of the world of how a Nation should be run. Yet there is more racism on the streets of Cinsinattie than there is in the world. There is more political scandals than in any part of the world. There is more violence, more gun crime and more drug related murders etc than any other country. But to focus on the way America behave.

I am not saying that Britain or any other country is better or perfect. But it stands to reason when I say that America probably have more to blame for the dangerous world we live in. I relate this to terrorism. Since America and Britain invaded Iraq. Our world has become an even more dangerous place. The Taliban are making a comeback and extremists are having a field day. America are simply making themselves a target by invading other countries. America seem to forget that different countries have different cultures, belief systems and moral differences. But America simply want the American flag to be stamped on every Nation on the world. Yet they want even more stars in that most dreaded flag-the Spangled banner.

Also, my final conclusion of America is this: America are doing today what Adolf Hitler did yesterday.

Perhaps when America stop licking their own wounds and going about saying how the world owes them a life debt. Perhaps they will learn from such atrocities as 9/11. But perhaps it is all too late. As much as I sympathise with the victims of 9/11. I could never condone any form of terrorism. let it be known that some little voice inside of my mind of reason is saying: They had nurtured this terror campaign. They got what they asked for. Did America deserve it:NO! But did they have it coming:YES. I am not in debt with America. I hope that any future administration in America, either Obama or Hilary, will try and make peace with the world. Rather than stirring up wars. War is stupid!

 

First let me address the death penalty with you.

Nobody I know says; "They deserve every bit of pain"

A person is put to death because they killed someone usually several people and they are put to death to prevent them from doing it again. What is your solution? Life imprisonment? How do you keep them from killing again? Solitary confinement? Some would say that is inhumane, after all it has been used to torture people and your going to force it on them for the rest of their lives, not just the few minutes of pain from lethal injection but 30 or more years of living hell!

Next, you talk about humaneness, but you don't talk about the inhumaneness of their crimes, Why is that? Is it because, it’s easier to focus on a persons right to life if you ignore the fact of the living nightmare that they have brought into the lives of others or the fact that by taking the lives of others they have forfeited their right to life?

PS the death penalty is not a America thing in fact 16 of the states do not have the death penalty!

Sorry if I have been heavy on the "American issue". I personally find this thread quite thought provoking. America appear to be very arragant when they could create a thread that suggests that we all owe America something. If anything, America owes the world. Its continual stripping of Countries oil, food supplies and their own brand of dictatorship. Of course, this is just my opinion, but I may be alone in my life. But on this one, I know other's share a similar if not exact opinion

When it comes to issues like this. I prefer to be harsh but fair in any statements I make. Sometimes I get things wrong. I am not prefect.
