ummmm fight club..... hogfather and coulour of magic although they were direct to tv on bbc, cant think of other know most conversions are disappointing
I have high hopes for the upcoming Tim Burton version of Alice in Wonderland. A lot of adaptations I like, but haven't read the book. Like Shawshank Redemption, Fight Club, Green Mile, The Notebook (even though I'm a guy, damn good movie, not gay at all to like it in my opinion). I'm sure there's a bunch more that I'm missing but I can never think of movies on the spot.
Not even close, pieces were moved or changed. In the book Hunter took a plane back, he didn't drive. Just a lot of little changes.
lol, I guess I should have read past chapter 1 or so. I started off with the bat scene word for word so I didn't go further cuz I thought it was going to be more of the same. Thanks for correcting me.
Oh yeah the book and movie have a bunch of changes but it is pretty much the same. Same story line and all. But the book is a lot better. I would pick it up again lol.
TANK GIRL FUCK YAH. This is funny, I just mentioned it in the favorite things thread As with every book to movie, they tweeked it a little bit. This one was perfect until the very end, and I like it a lot better than the book, it made more sense. Not a different ending, just a different situation... I don't know, just read the book and watch the movie.
man I wish my bf liked the notebook lol it's actually a pretty tactful move to throw that one on with sappy little girls like me. it's all about the strategy lol TB is doing alice in wonderland? that's gonna be really trippy
I was gonna say that. Am trying really hard not to expect too much coz I don't wanna be disappointed. Been saying for years and years why the hell hasn't he done Alice yet?! The adaptation of Murakami's Tony Takitani was good, and I enjoyed The Unbearable Lightness of Being way more than the book, which I felt a bit patronised by.
Ooh and I know it was a TV series rather than a film, but Gormenghast <3 <3 love it both on and off screen.
I read it when I first got a job at a bookshop and was just racing through books, and probably not reading them as closely as I should've, so I can imagine I'd like it more a second time around with a more careful read.
Well it's still on my bookshelf... but my reading list queue is a long one! I'm sure I'll get there eventually. I'll probably have really long dreads when I next read it
yes......whale rider is my favorite movie of all time ever. the book was super good too, it was written in 1987. but the reason I like the movie more than the book was how they used local people, and filmed it all in the little village, and the cinematography is so beautiful. *going to go watch it again now*
