Actually, the Bible does give information on this. In the Old Testament it speaks about two men who are fighting. One of the men by accident hits a woman who is pregnant. As a result the woman loses her child. According to the Bible, the man that struck her would receive some form of punishment and would have to pay a fine. Now the Bible clearly states that if any folly should follow, another words, the man does not pay the fine, ect. The Bible then states that mans life will be required, and then states, for it is a life, for a life. And what is interesting here, is this mans life would be required because of an accident. Also the Bible does not debate over how many months the woman was pregnant. If God holds life this precious, can you imagine what God must think, when a doctor and a woman decided to kill a child with premeditation in mind. Jesus said it well, ''whsoever hurth one of these little one's, it would be better for than person if a mill stone was hung over their head, and they were thrown into the depths of the sea.'' To try and understand God's reasons for His actions can be hard for the human mind to process, yet God has His reasons which we can question but are left with unresolved answers. God has the right to give life, and to take life, we do not. And I also would point out, that life does not end with death. Yet, only God has the right to take life. And some how you think, compounding a rape with a murder, is going to make it ok. Regardless how we come into this world, every life has value to God. And to say that a child must die, because of your feelings is the most selfish act of all. There are many mother's today who have raised their sons and daughters who became pregnant because of an evil man. Yet the mothers love those children and have given them the gift of life. Many of these children went on to be some of the most wonderful people. Their are even those children who were aborted but survived, who also testify of Gods love. The pro-choice hate to see these people, because they are reminders of the millions that could still be alive today if it were not for the evil that exist.
I'm sorry, I wanted to pass this web adress onto you. It is in regards to a 11 week old child trying to defent itself, during an abortion. http://www.silentscream.org/
God often does this using us as the tool to take/ give life. The question is why does God allow people to believe they should abort a child rather than raise it. Is it because it is better for the child not to be born in this world? Which is another reason to question whether it is better for a baby to be born in this world, or be taken to another that is more appropriate for it to grow in? And only God has the authority to take life. God can stay the hand of a murderer as easily as staying the hand of a doctor giving an abortion, or a surgeon replacing a faulty heart valve. The question is, why does God encourage some to pursue abortion while making others so against it? Is it because those who oppose abortion do not have faith that God will give the child a better life in another world, which is why God has led the parents to get an abortion in the first place? I think it is better to allow God to lead you to your decisions, have faith as Abraham did with his son Isaac. Perhaps those of faith who oppose abortion are fit to raise children, but some are not fit to raise children in this world (pro choice).
First, we are now in the age of grace, God allows free will. But God also states in the Bible that no murder will enter the Kingdom of God. Because some think it is ok to kill, does not mean God approves. God allows people to believe what ever they want, but God has instructed us in the right way. Thou shalt not murder. Follow Gods way and the future is secure. Follow what you believe outside of the Bible, and the future will be uncertain.
and, say if no one reproduced, there would be no human life.....if we didnt murder there would still be death..... think about that!
Exodus 4:21 "And the LORD said unto Moses, When thou goest to return into Egypt, see that thou do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have put in thine hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go." Who has caused the Pharaoh's actions? Yes. A man cannot murder, he can only send a soul away from this world. Man does not have the power to kill, so follows this commandment no matter what he does.
We receive life from God into this world and send life away from this world according to the desires that God places within us.
okay....we recieve life from whatever, nature in my opinion, but god in yours....and well if we dont reproduce there would be no more life, see? and our desires that god placecs within us are desires that we can create amd change......we can shape how we feel, god doesnt say okay hes mad, now hes not.....no it doesnt work like that...say if someone if pissed and they are about to shoot theyre girlfrien and the guy shes sleeping with right, and then someone talks him out of it....if that person didnt come up and talk him out of it...he wouldve kileld two people.....so you can say that god mad ethat guy walk along at the right moment but really. that guy couldnt gone ot the store or gone to the movie to anything he wanted but happened to be there, see what i mean.....we have our own choices and nature or 'god' may have some influence but we ultimately make the choice.
The same reason He allowed them to kill Him on the cross. Free will. God created us to make choices for the good or the bad. Those who donot know Christ, will be judged by their works.
Death will happen, murder is man playing God. And God states that one who will murder another will not enter the Kingdom of God. Death is not the issue, it is the willful act of a person taking an innocent life that is.
I agree, tenuously, with one of Campbell's points. It is hard to escape the conclusion that the purposeful ending of a individual human life, however undeveloped it may be, is an act of murder. Now, I must make it clear that I support abortion, and feel that those who have them almost always suffer terrible internal guilt and anguish that can last their whole life. So, I hope I can offer my ears, and my acceptance of their choice to them, however they wish. It is tragic enough a situation without others condemning them besides. I offer this example of what I feel is far more sinister.... 25 to 30 000 kids starving to death every single day. Not for lack of food.... but for lack of love. The western world could easily end this holocaust, but chooses not to. That is not very Christian, in my view.
Those who do not know God judge themselves by their works. They do not know that God is working through them (using them as precision tools), so have pride in the work of their hands, all the while not recognizing that their actions are molded by God.
Get behind me Satan. You look at things as man looks at them instead of God. Man cannot kill man, for a man's soul lives beyond the destruction of the flesh. The command "Thou shall not kill" is something man is not able to violate. A man can only do what he is made to do, nothing more, nothing less. Even Hitler's "atrocities" were organized by God, keeping those on this world that would benefit this world, and sending those more suitable for other worlds to wherever it suits God's plan the best.
So, if you're a Christian, you can do whatever you want. Be useful and good or destructive and evil but you'll be judged favourably either way. Whereas if you're not a Christian, then you have to be good to be judged favourably. Being a Christian gives you carte blanche to act however you feel? Sounds more like Satanism to me. Exactly. Because they're Christian they think they're fine and they don't need to do anything about it. They're good because they're Christian not because of their actions .
Christians cannot do what ever they want. That is why Jesus said you will know them by their works. Christians can never be saved by their works, yet their works reveal who they are. The Bible clearly states that by your works shall no flesh be justified. Those who donot know God will be judge by their works, but that it is not for placement in heaven. Your belief that Christians can do what ever they want would be incorrect. When the Lord comes to remove His church from this planet, many people will still be sitting in the churches wondering why they were left behind. Calling yourself a Christian, and being one are two different things.
It maybe true that 30,000 children are starving to death every day because of a lack of love. So you believe it is better that we kill these children by abortion first, so they would not have this slow death. WOW. Well, why stop there, every time we see someone who does not appear happy we can kill them to. As a matter of fact we could kill the whole human race and that will end all the ills of the world, not to mention all the money it would save, and end all polution on the planet. Final Solutions have never been a good idea. You say we should not condemning people when they decide to kill their children. Well maybe we should open up all the prisions and stop condeming all the murders there. I mean it is tragic enought that they murdered someone with out us pointing out their wrong and condeming them to. Right.
thanks campbell re. the silent scream: ok, i just watched this film..... looked up some info... apparently there's been some accusations regarding its accuracy; among them, claims that the scene where dr nathanson is describing how peaceful the fetus is, the film is at regular pace, and is later speeded up to show the fetus 'thrashing about' in defense or attempted 'escape'. as well, the model fetus the doctor uses is an 18wk to influence viewers emotionally, whereas the aborted fetus is 12wk or under, which is actually about 2 and a half inches in length. this spreads an innacurate message, and plus the spooky background music and narrator's cheese it makes for great sensationalism. oh, and "dark hand of the crime syndicate" and "the mob" is involved with abortions? what? .... *baffled* there is a full article by ten respected doctors against the so-called 'silent scream' at http://www.plannedparenthood.org/pp2/portal/medicalinfo/abortion/fact-abortion-silent-scream.xml for those who don't want to read a lengthy article p), some summary... -The mouth of the fetus cannot be identified in the ultrasound image with certainty. The statement that the screen identifies the open mouth of the fetus is a subjective and misleading interpretation by Dr. Nathanson. His conclusion is not supportable. >[There were several sites that also suggested that the area referred to as the open mouth was actually the dark area between chin and chest] -A fetus of 12 weeks cannot in any way be compared to a fully formed functioning person! At this stage only rudiments of the organ systems are present. The fetus is unable to sustain life outside the woman's womb, it is incapable of conscious thought; it is incapable of essential breathing. It is instead an in utero fetus with the potential of becoming a child. -Although some electrical impulses have been recorded as early as 10 weeks' gestation, these cannot be interpreted as or compared with brain waves. Genuine brain waves do not occur until the third trimester. -The heart rate of the fetus portrayed in the film does not change significantly at any time. Nevertheless, a fetal heart rate of 200 is within the normal range (normal 180–200 beats per minute) for this stage of pregnancy. It is also unlikely that the fetus had a heart rate of 140 that rose to 200. A rate of 140 is generally noted in the latter half of pregnancy. --------------------------------
I can't speak for the film, but on this link is a picture of a 10 week old child. It was Jesus who said, whosoever harms one of these little one's, it would be better for them if a millstone were hung around their head, and they were thrown into the depths of the sea. I don't believe Jesus put any limit on the size of a child. I don't believed He said anything about the mouth of a fetus being identified, or their organ system, ect. As with the mother loseing her child in the Old Testament, those who were responsible God declares, it's a life, for a life. It is the God of the Bible who has raised the bar on human life. It is the world who has lowered it to the ground. Yet everyone will give an account of what they supported, in the day God judges the world. http://medicalimages.allrefer.com/large/fetus-10-weeks-old.jpg
Hitler's ''atrocities, were Hitler's atrocities" They were not organized by God, even though God knew what Hitler was going to do before time began. The command "Thou shall not kill" is something man is not able to violate? I would say man does very well violating that command, and does this every day the Sun shines on God's green earth. The Bible condems the killing of the physical body, reguardless if His soul moves on.
