When someone tells you, that you can't read Ulysses, you know what most people do? They believe it. But a few people read it anyway, and good for them. Some enjoy it. It's great that people take an interest in literature at any rate. An english major or a dude on the net. Yeesh.
I'm cool with the PNW, but I don't like non-city places. I'm sure I would love Seattle, Portland, Eugene. I live in LA now and I hate it because it is not enough of a city.
Damn right hommie G dogg... I need nature, plus I don't like crowds, unless I'm drunk. Then I love crowds.
Hey Zen, just so I understand the term better. "Wet behind the ears" would refer to being just birthed and like, not been around very long right? If I'm wrong I'll feel like a dipshit.
if someone is really serious about reading Ulysses, they should get the annotated version and dedicate a couple months to it. just reading it as is is a waste of time, other than to claim that you "read Ulysses". I would like to read it some day, and Finnegan's Wake. maybe in 10 years.
you got it. I say this because of previous posts of yours. don't be insulted though, a few years ago I wasn't any different.
Yeah, you can get a reader's guide. I wasn't sure if he was all that serious about it though, so I didn't mention that part.
me too. I used to hate Jersey because you're supposed to hate Jersey, and then I saw the rest of America and realized what an ugly fucking country this is. of course NYC is and will always be my home.
